Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Won J. You Studios ("WJY Studios," "we," "us," or "our") collects through wonjyou.studio (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. WJY Studios provides mentorship, consulting, and education for designers and design teams.

We built this Site to say as little about you as we can. It has no account system and no advertising trackers, and we run only Google Analytics, and only if you accept it. The one place we do collect information is the portfolio readiness assessment, which asks for your name and email before showing your result.

Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

• Information you give us in the assessment — when you complete the portfolio readiness assessment, we collect the name and email address you enter, your answers to the questions, and the portfolio URL if you choose to give one. This is submitted when you ask to see your result, and is stored in our database and emailed to us so we can follow up.
• Information collected when you book or buy — sessions are scheduled through Calendly, and some ongoing mentorship through MentorCruise. Purchases made on the Site go through Stripe. Those services collect what they need to complete the booking or payment and share the relevant details with us. They act under their own privacy policies.
• Information collected automatically — standard web server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) may be recorded by our hosting and CDN infrastructure for security and reliability. If, and only if, you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects standard web analytics data such as pages visited, approximate location, and device and browser type. We do not run advertising pixels and we do not sell data to third-party trackers.

Cookies and Your Choice

The Site stores a small local-storage entry to remember your analytics choice. That entry is not a cookie, is never used for tracking, and is the only thing stored if you decline.

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. It is loaded only if you choose Accept on the cookie notice. If you decline, or have not yet chosen, the analytics script is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the controls at the bottom of this page.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your inquiry and work out whether a session or program is a good fit
• Schedule, deliver, and follow up on mentorship, consulting, and education sessions
• Take payment for services, through the third-party platforms described below
• Understand in aggregate how the Site is used, so we can improve it

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list because you booked a session or took the assessment.

Anything you share with us in a session is treated as confidential, and we will not publish your work or your situation without asking you first.

Payment Information

Payments made on the Site are processed by Stripe, on Stripe's own hosted checkout pages. Card details are entered on Stripe, not here: we never receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of the payment, the email address used, and which option was bought. Some ongoing mentorship is billed by MentorCruise instead. Both process payment data under their own privacy policies.

Third-Party Services

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site, subject to your consent; Google processes that data under its own privacy policy. We use Stripe to take payment, Calendly for scheduling, and MentorCruise for ongoing mentorship. Assessment submissions are stored using Supabase, and the Site is hosted on Amazon Web Services. The Site also links to our AI portfolio review tool, which is a separate service: anything you submit there is handled under the terms presented on that tool, not by this Site.

Following an outbound link means that service processes your data under its own policies.

Data Retention

We keep assessment submissions, correspondence, and booking and payment records for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and then delete or archive them. Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in Google Analytics. You can ask us to delete your assessment record at any time.

International Transfers

We are based in the United States, and the services we rely on may process data in the United States or elsewhere. If you are contacting us from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection rules than your own.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent you have given. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time using the controls at the bottom of this page. To exercise any other right, contact us at won@wjystudios.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Children's Privacy

The Site and our services are directed to working professionals and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
