Agreement to Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website located at wonjyou.studio (the "Site"), operated by Won J. You Studios ("WJY Studios," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Who We Are

WJY Studios provides mentorship, consulting, and education for designers and design teams. That includes one-to-one mentorship sessions, structured coaching programs such as the Portfolio Program, and speaking, teaching, and advisory work. The Site is informational: it describes what we offer and provides ways to get in touch, book a session, or assess whether a program is a good fit.

Educational Purpose and No Professional Advice

Everything on the Site, and everything shared in a mentorship session or program, is educational and advisory in nature. It reflects our experience and opinion. It is not legal, financial, employment, immigration, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who knows your circumstances. Decisions you make about your career, your work, or your business remain yours.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

We describe results that past students and clients have achieved, and we are candid about what the work involves. We do not promise or guarantee any particular outcome. Nothing on the Site is a guarantee that you will receive interviews, job offers, a promotion, a salary increase, or any other specific result.

Outcomes depend on many things outside our control, including the effort you put in, the quality and quantity of work you bring, your market, and timing. Testimonials describe individual experiences and are not a prediction of yours.

Booking, Fees and Payment

Prices shown on the Site are in US dollars and may change. The price that applies to you is the one shown on the Stripe checkout page when you pay. Buying does not by itself reserve a place: we will be in touch to schedule, and if we cannot start within a reasonable period you may ask for a refund under the section below.

You can buy either option directly on the Site. Checkout is handled by Stripe on its own hosted pages: card details are entered there, not here, and we never receive or store your full card number. Sessions are scheduled through Calendly once payment is made, and some ongoing mentorship is billed by MentorCruise instead. Where a third-party platform takes the payment, that platform's terms and privacy policy also apply to the transaction.

Prepaid bundles are booked at your pace within a reasonable period. Sessions you do not schedule are not transferable to another person unless we agree in writing.

Rescheduling and Cancellation

Please give at least 24 hours' notice to reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less notice, or missed without notice, may be treated as delivered. If something genuinely unavoidable comes up, tell us and we will be reasonable about it.

Refunds

For the Portfolio Program: you may cancel for a full refund at any time before your first session, and also straight after your first session, provided you tell us before a second session is booked. Once a second session has been booked or taken, the program is not refundable, in whole or in part.

Separately, if you complete the program, apply what it covers to your portfolio, and are still not seeing results after thirty days, contact us and we will work with you to understand why. That is a commitment to support you, not a refund, and it does not reopen the window described above.

Individual sessions are refundable only if cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice, since the time is reserved for you.

Where you have statutory cancellation or refund rights under the consumer law that applies to you, nothing here limits them.

Use of the Site

You may browse the Site and contact us for its intended purpose: reaching out about mentorship, consulting, education, or a potential engagement. You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its systems, or related networks
• Interfere with the Site's operation, including through automated scraping or excessive requests
• Send false, misleading, or fraudulent information when contacting us

Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including copy, images, video, code, and the structure of our assessments — is the property of WJY Studios or is used with permission, and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Materials shared with you as part of a session or program, including frameworks, templates, written feedback, and any recordings, are licensed to you for your own personal or internal business use. You may not resell them, publish them, or use them to deliver competing coaching or training without our prior written consent.

Your own work stays yours. Feedback we give you on your portfolio or projects is yours to use.

Confidentiality

What you share in a session stays between us. We will not publish your work, your situation, or anything you tell us without your permission. If we would like to quote you or reference your outcome publicly, we will ask first.

Submissions

The portfolio readiness assessment records the answers you give, along with the name and email you enter, so we can respond and judge whether the program suits you. Its result is guidance, not a condition of purchase: you may buy either option without taking it, and a favourable result is not an offer or a guarantee of a place. Information you send us by email or through our scheduling link is used the same way. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

Third-Party Services

The Site uses Stripe for payment, Calendly for scheduling, MentorCruise for ongoing mentorship, and Supabase to store assessment submissions. It also uses Google Analytics, which loads only if you accept analytics cookies, and links out to our AI portfolio review tool. Your use of any third-party service is subject to that service's own terms and privacy policy, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

No Warranty

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Terms and deliverables for actual consulting engagements are governed separately by the applicable signed agreement, not by these Terms.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WJY Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or our services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
